INDIA CREATES HISTORY
It's a prestigious movement for India. India's first mission to mars entered orbit on Wednesday. It's budget was less than the Hollywood movie "Gravity." Mission mangalyaan costed $74 million which is almost 1/9th of the cost of NASA's MAVEN mars mission, which is 671 million.
Prime Minister, Narendra Modi who witnessed the ISRO's victory on entering the mars orbit at the first attempt congratulated all the scientists for their hardwork and also said "Today MOM has met Mangal (Mars). Today Mangal has got MOM. The time this
mission was short named as MOM, I was sure that MOM won't disappoint us".

ISRO successfully ignited the main engine and eight small thrusters, which fired for 24 minutes, trimming the speed of the craft so it could be captured by Mars's gravity and slide into orbit.
After travelling a journey of 666million kilometres, the aim of this mission is to study the surface and mineral composition on mars and scan the atmosphere for methane.
